Auburn to open new 50,000 square foot laboratory in Huntsville
Auburn University leaders along with members of the Alabama congressional delegation and representatives from the Department of War will cut the ribbon at the grand opening of the state-of-the-art facility next week.
Any Way You Dice It
A simple question about who goes first turned into a 15-year mathematical puzzle. Auburn COSAM senior lecturer Eric Harshbarger and researchers around the world developed a set of dice that eliminates ties while giving every player an equal chance of winning, then Harshbarger brought the math to life with a giant wooden sculpture for Auburn’s STEM + Agricultural Sciences Complex.

CEE assistant professor receives $1M EPA grant
Civil and Environmental Engineering assistant professor Neha Sharma received a $1 million EPA grant to develop reusable nanosheets that capture nutrients from agricultural runoff and stormwater for reuse as fertilizer.

Aug 18, 2026 8:00 AM | Donuts & Directions is a welcoming event hosted by the College of Education Student Ambassadors during the first two days of the semester. Ambassadors greet students as they arrive, provide complimentary donuts, and help them navigate the building by answering questions, giving directions to classrooms and offices, and sharing important information about the College of Education. The event is designed to create a friendly and supportive environment, helping students feel comfortable, connected, and prepared for a successful start to the school year.
