This includes clay preparation, centering the clay, and pulling up cylindrical shapes that you will learn to add on to create your unique and functional pieces. You will be working at your own wheel and be provided studio space and resources to help your creativity and skills flourish throughout the course. Clay and firing costs are included in the course fee. Students should bring a one-gallon bucket and a packet of clay tools to the first class meeting (tools may be purchased at most bookstores in Auburn for about $15).

The deceased students' families are invited to return to campus so the university can honor their students. Dr. Bobby Woodard will host the event. Student leaders will speak, read poems, and sing. The Dean's Brass Quintet will play music. Family members will honor their student by placing a flower in a vase for them. The ceremony will then conclude.

At AU-Bees: Hive to Bottle Experience, you'll go through the entire process of extracting your own honey straight from the hive. Participants will remove honey frames, uncap the comb, extract, filter, and bottle their own 16 oz jar of honey to take home.This is a unique opportunity to connect with the world of beekeeping and learn firsthand how honey goes from the hive to your bottle. This includes clay preparation, centering the clay, and pulling up cylindrical shapes that you will learn to add on to create your unique and functional pieces. You will be working at your own wheel and be provided studio space and resources to help your creativity and skills flourish throughout the course. Clay and firing costs are included in the course fee. Students should bring a one-gallon bucket and a packet of clay tools to the first class meeting (tools may be purchased at most bookstores in Auburn for about $15).

Showcase 2025 is organized by Chase Bringarder, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance; Robert Finkel, Program Chair and Associate Professor of Graphic Design; and Anna Ruth Gatlin, Assistant Professor of Interior Design in Consumer and Design Sciences, in concert with the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research and Economic Development.
