- Building an Effective Emergency Management ProgramApr 23, 2025 12:00 AM | The course will focus on providing an overview of emergency management functions including working with outside agencies and jurisdictions during the planning, response, recovery and mitigation phases. The course will also focus attention on training and certification resources for emergency management Coordinators/Directors, information sharing, the importance of planning and conducting training courses and exercises, managing requests for outside resources as well as an overview of the role of the emergency manager and emergency management staff during an emergency or disaster.
- EM: Researching, Writing, and Managing Public Assistance Grants for County, Tribal, and State EntitiesApr 23, 2025 12:00 AM | This four-week online intensive course is tailored for emergency management professionals and grant managers in county, tribal, and state entities. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the Public Assistance (PA) grant process, from identifying funding opportunities and understanding eligibility requirements to developing competitive grant applications and managing awarded funds in compliance with federal regulations. By the end of the course, participants will have created a complete PA grant application and conducted mock submissions and compliance audits to prepare for real-world scenarios.Offered as part of the Emergency Management certificate program.
- AU Music Project - Private Lesson Program (Spring and Summer 2025)Apr 23, 2025 8:00 AM | Our community music program offers private lessons to students of all ages in the community. Lessons are taught by Auburn faculty and graduate students.
- Denim DayApr 23, 2025 10:00 AM | This event will include several different clubs and organizations as a collaboration for Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). The event will provide academic information about what is SAAM and Denim Day, preventative measures and warning signs, statistics, and other information. In collaboration with other organizations, we will have many tables on the greenspace all advocating for awareness. We will have buttons and ribbon making, swag from club tables, and possible food vendors. Some tables will also have additional resources for survivors like how to get help in the community.
