- Sat 239:00 AMPerinatal Education SeriesThe Auburn University College of Nursing invites both the campus and the wider community to participate in the Perinatal Education Series, a free program designed to support maternal and infant health. Two Saturday sessions are available, May 3 and August 23. Class 1: Pregnancy to Birth Class 2: Birth to One Year Sessions run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with lunch and childcare provided. This outreach initiative is designed to help expectant mothers and their support systems understand pregnancy, labor, and early parenting. Registration is required. - Sat 308:00 AMVeterans Learn to Row DayJoin the Auburn Student Veterans Association and the Auburn University Rowing Club for a laid-back, no-pressure introduction to rowing designed just for student veterans and military-affiliated students. The event will begin with light snacks and a brief welcome, followed by on-land instruction where participants will learn rowing technique using erg machines and oars. After this warm-up, participants will rotate in small groups onto rowing shells for a relaxed, guided session on the water led by experienced rowers from the club.No experience is required, and all equipment will be provided. Between water sessions, attendees are encouraged to socialize, cheer each other on, or take another turn rowing if space allows. The morning will wrap up with a free lunch and time to relax with fellow participants. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, try something new, and enjoy a fun morning outdoors.
