Celebrate the innovative spirit of Auburn faculty members working experimentally in film, painting, photography, new media, sculpture and textile arts. This creative scholarship enriches the academic environment by promoting collaboration, making complex concepts more accessible, generating innovative and engaging ideas, and contributing to cultural and social change. Paired with discoveries in other fields, these outcomes are essential to enhancing Auburn’s stature as a pre-eminent institution with Carnegie R1 status.Presented in collaboration with Showcase 2025, a university-wide initiative to highlight creative scholarship, align its practice with university goals and promote collaboration. Showcase 2025 is organized by Chase Bringarder, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance; Robert Finkel, Program Chair and Associate Professor of Graphic Design; and Anna Ruth Gatlin, Assistant Professor of Interior Design in Consumer and Design Sciences, in concert with the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research and Economic Development.

The event will begin with 30 minutes of dance instruction, tailored to all proficiency levels. The instruction will be conducted primarily in Spanish, with English explanations provided as needed, offering participants an immersive cultural and language-learning experience. This semester?s focus will be on Bachata and Salsa, two vibrant dance styles deeply rooted in Hispanic culture.The session will be led by Dominic Puello and Nohemy Castellano, talented college-aged instructors from the Auburn community. Dominic, originally from the Dominican Republic, and Nohemy, from Venezuela, bring authentic expertise to the event, having received formal instruction in Bachata and Salsa in their home countries. Their guidance will assist Anthony Espinal, president of El Club de Espa?ol, in delivering clear instructions and providing personalized assistance to all participants throughout the event.Following the instructional period, the dance floor will open for a 30-minute free-dance session, focused on practicing the Bachata and Salsa moves learned during instruction.

This event will begin with an opening prayer. This will be followed by a 30-45 minute Bible study with discussion times. The event will be ended with a time of prayer requests and a closing prayer. Discussion and fellowship often follows the prayer as well.

Nav night is a gathering of the members of the Navigators. We start off with a bonding game that is low stakes and low activity. We then move into a time of worship with music and singing. We then break off into bible study groups to study the bible.

On February 12, the Office of International Programs will host Aferdita Krasniqi, outreach and recruitment specialist for the Fulbright Scholars Program, for a series of information sessions about faculty and student opportunities through the U.S. Fulbright Program. Presentations will take place in the Azalea Room at the Auburn University Hotel and Conference Center, with the faculty session beginning and 11 a.m. and the student session at 1:30 p.m. Sessions are free and open to all.The Fulbright Program, the United States government’s flagship program of international educational and cultural exchange, offers passionate and accomplished students and scholars in more than 160 countries the opportunity to study, teach, conduct research, exchange ideas and contribute to mutual understanding.Fulbright Scholars—college and university faculty, administrators, and researchers, as well as artists and professionals—build their skills and connections, gain valuable international insights, and return home to share their experiences with their students and colleagues.
