- Feb 710:00 AMPR DayWe organize a bi-annual PR Day. During this event we bring on campus alumni of Auburn's PR program who talk to students about the latest trends in the PR industry and share best practices in order to better prepare them to enter the industry. This year the speakers will talk to the Oaks Agency executive team/project leaders on how to communicate, troubleshoot issues, manage people, etc. The Oaks Agency is Auburn's student-run agency that does PR work for real clients.
- Feb 710:00 AMRodell Warner + Audubon + His JournalsThe Jule invites contemporary artists inspired by nature to research Auburn University's collections to engage with, question and critique John James Audubon’s evolving legacy. Trinidadian artist Rodell Warner reimagines John James Audubon’s writings and selections from the iconic Birds of America series, animating text and visuals to foster new ways of seeing and experiencing history.Warner's digital animations have been exhibited at the Art Gallery of Ontario; Big Medium, Austin, Texas; the Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei; and the Pérez Art Museum, Miami, Florida. Rodell works between Port of Spain in Trinidad, Kingston in Jamaica, and Boston, Massachusetts.
- Feb 710:00 AMShowcase: Faculty Exhibition 8Celebrate the innovative spirit of Auburn faculty members working experimentally in film, painting, photography, new media, sculpture and textile arts. This creative scholarship enriches the academic environment by promoting collaboration, making complex concepts more accessible, generating innovative and engaging ideas, and contributing to cultural and social change. Paired with discoveries in other fields, these outcomes are essential to enhancing Auburn’s stature as a pre-eminent institution with Carnegie R1 status.Presented in collaboration with Showcase 2025, a university-wide initiative to highlight creative scholarship, align its practice with university goals and promote collaboration. Showcase 2025 is organized by Chase Bringarder, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance; Robert Finkel, Program Chair and Associate Professor of Graphic Design; and Anna Ruth Gatlin, Assistant Professor of Interior Design in Consumer and Design Sciences, in concert with the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research and Economic Development.
