Alabama’s agricultural heritage is documented through ten large-scale murals produced in 1939, a time when the state began diversifying its output.

Photojournalist Kate Medley covers national news in the American South, focused on storytelling and environmental portraiture. In this exhibition, Medley invites viewers to see the people and culinary art of service stations, convenience stores and quick stops located across the South, shining a light on the unexpected community, generosity and creativity found in hidden corners of the U.S.

The Jule invites contemporary artists inspired by nature to research Auburn University's collections to engage with, question and critique John James Audubon’s evolving legacy. Trinidadian artist Rodell Warner reimagines John James Audubon’s writings and selections from the iconic Birds of America series, animating text and visuals to foster new ways of seeing and experiencing history.Warner's digital animations have been exhibited at the Art Gallery of Ontario; Big Medium, Austin, Texas; the Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei; and the Pérez Art Museum, Miami, Florida. Rodell works between Port of Spain in Trinidad, Kingston in Jamaica, and Boston, Massachusetts.

Showcase 2025 is organized by Chase Bringarder, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance; Robert Finkel, Program Chair and Associate Professor of Graphic Design; and Anna Ruth Gatlin, Assistant Professor of Interior Design in Consumer and Design Sciences, in concert with the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research and Economic Development.

The Gogue Center presents Anoushka Shankar at the Woltosz Theater—Saturday, March 22.Masterful sitarist Anoushka Shankar comes to Auburn this season, accompanied by a new band of musicians with whom she has carved out an original, multifaceted and dynamic sound. Shankar and her bandmates will perform music from her three newly released mini-albums--"Chapter I: Forever, For Now," "Chapter II: How Dark it Is Before Dawn," and "Chapter III" upcoming in March 2025—alongside thoroughly shaken-up, reinterpreted gems from her previous releases including the Grammy-nominated live album "Between Us..."2025 will mark Shankar’s 30th year as a performing artist, with a band hailed as one of the best ensembles ever to have toured with her.
