On February 12, the Office of International Programs will host Aferdita Krasniqi, outreach and recruitment specialist for the Fulbright Scholars Program, for a series of information sessions about faculty and student opportunities through the U.S. Fulbright Program. Presentations will take place in the Azalea Room at the Auburn University Hotel and Conference Center, with the faculty session beginning and 11 a.m. and the student session at 1:30 p.m. Sessions are free and open to all.The Fulbright Program, the United States government’s flagship program of international educational and cultural exchange, offers passionate and accomplished students and scholars in more than 160 countries the opportunity to study, teach, conduct research, exchange ideas and contribute to mutual understanding.Fulbright Scholars—college and university faculty, administrators, and researchers, as well as artists and professionals—build their skills and connections, gain valuable international insights, and return home to share their experiences with their students and colleagues. Scholars come from and go to all institution types and geographic regions across the United States and around the world. The Fulbright Scholar Program awards more than 1,700 fellowships each year, enabling 800 U.S. scholars to go abroad and 900 visiting scholars to come to the United States.The Fulbright U.S. Students Program offers unparalleled opportunities in all academic disciplines for graduating college seniors, graduate students and early-career professionals from all backgrounds. Photojournalist Kate Medley covers national news in the American South, focused on storytelling and environmental portraiture. In this exhibition, Medley invites viewers to see the people and culinary art of service stations, convenience stores and quick stops located across the South, shining a light on the unexpected community, generosity and creativity found in hidden corners of the U.S.

The Jule invites contemporary artists inspired by nature to research Auburn University's collections to engage with, question and critique John James Audubon’s evolving legacy. Trinidadian artist Rodell Warner reimagines John James Audubon’s writings and selections from the iconic Birds of America series, animating text and visuals to foster new ways of seeing and experiencing history.Warner's digital animations have been exhibited at the Art Gallery of Ontario; Big Medium, Austin, Texas; the Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei; and the Pérez Art Museum, Miami, Florida. Rodell works between Port of Spain in Trinidad, Kingston in Jamaica, and Boston, Massachusetts.
