Alabama’s agricultural heritage is documented through ten large-scale murals produced in 1939, a time when the state began diversifying its output.

The Jule invites contemporary artists inspired by nature to research Auburn University's collections to engage with, question and critique John James Audubon’s evolving legacy. Trinidadian artist Rodell Warner reimagines John James Audubon’s writings and selections from the iconic Birds of America series, animating text and visuals to foster new ways of seeing and experiencing history.Warner's digital animations have been exhibited at the Art Gallery of Ontario; Big Medium, Austin, Texas; the Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei; and the Pérez Art Museum, Miami, Florida. Rodell works between Port of Spain in Trinidad, Kingston in Jamaica, and Boston, Massachusetts.

Celebrate the innovative spirit of Auburn faculty members working experimentally in film, painting, photography, new media, sculpture and textile arts. This creative scholarship enriches the academic environment by promoting collaboration, making complex concepts more accessible, generating innovative and engaging ideas, and contributing to cultural and social change. Paired with discoveries in other fields, these outcomes are essential to enhancing Auburn’s stature as a pre-eminent institution with Carnegie R1 status.Presented in collaboration with Showcase 2025, a university-wide initiative to highlight creative scholarship, align its practice with university goals and promote collaboration. Showcase 2025 is organized by Chase Bringarder, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance; Robert Finkel, Program Chair and Associate Professor of Graphic Design; and Anna Ruth Gatlin, Assistant Professor of Interior Design in Consumer and Design Sciences, in concert with the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research and Economic Development.

This four-week, fully online intensive course is designed for emergency management professionals and working adults responsible for creating and maintaining emergency management plans for their local, tribal, or state entities. The course provides a structured, step-by-step approach to developing a practical and compliant emergency management plan that meets all regulatory standards and addresses the specific needs of each community. Participants will be guided through the plan creation process, from risk assessment to strategic planning, compliance, community engagement, and auditing procedures.This course is part of the Emergency Management Certificate Program.

The course objective is to introduce learners to a wide array of issues and concerns involving the nation's critical infrastructure as that term can be broadly defined in the post 9/11 and post- Katrina world. Topics addressed in the course include: • the range of critical infrastructure concerns; • ways in which critical infrastructure concerns have been defined and addressed in the past, ways in which they are presently being addressed, and ways in which they could be more fully addressed in the future; • the role that cascading critical infrastructure failures played in the aftermath of Hurricane KatrinaPart of the Emergency Management Certificate Program

This course is designed to take an in-depth look at the lessons that have been learned and the lessons yet to be learned in the aftermath of the 2023 Lahaina in Maui and the 2025 Los Angeles Wildfires. Assignments will include reports and analyses associated with those wild fires. The course will also take a close look at a wide array of accompanying issues and concerns relevant to emergency management posed by this unusual sequence of events that accompanied each disaster.
