Common Grounds is a weekly series at The Jule in which scholars, artists, community leaders and students share their knowledge, lead discussions or creatively respond to our exhibitions. A space for experiential engagement, Common Grounds features artist talks, gallery discussions, film screenings, live performances, art activities and more.

Join Jerrod Windham, Ulm Associate Professor, School of Industrial and Graphic Design; Eilís Finnegan, Assistant Professor, School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture and Wendy DesChene, Professor, Art and Art History to discuss the ways different technology can be used to aid in research and creative practices. For example, how can artists and designers use AI and algorithms to imagine new futures and foster innovation? How can AI make creative practices more accessible and be used as a tool for collective creativity?

Join the Office of Sustainability, the Alabama Rivers Alliance, the Alabama Water Resources Center, and Auburn Outdoors for a unique outdoor film screening! Short documentary films created as part of the 2024 Southern Exposure Film Fellowship will be shown. These films were created over the Alabama Rivers Alliance?s 6-week summer program and present vibrant, inspiring stories of how Alabama citizens have worked to preserve their state?s rich biodiversity.Free popcorn will be served, and Auburn Outdoors will be present to make s?mores! Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets and camp chairs. There will be a Q&A session following the films.This screening will be held at 6:00pm at the Pebble Hill Courtyard on Thursday, March 6.

This event will begin with an opening prayer. This will be followed by a 30-45 minute Bible study with discussion times. The event will be ended with a time of prayer requests and a closing prayer. Discussion and fellowship often follows the prayer as well.

Nav night is a gathering of the members of the Navigators. We start off with a bonding game that is low stakes and low activity. We then move into a time of worship with music and singing. We then break off into bible study groups to study the bible.

This is an event for our new members where they will be presented to the university. They will be on stage performing.
