Celebrate the innovative spirit of Auburn faculty members working experimentally in film, painting, photography, new media, sculpture and textile arts. This creative scholarship enriches the academic environment by promoting collaboration, making complex concepts more accessible, generating innovative and engaging ideas, and contributing to cultural and social change. Paired with discoveries in other fields, these outcomes are essential to enhancing Auburn’s stature as a pre-eminent institution with Carnegie R1 status.Presented in collaboration with Showcase 2025, a university-wide initiative to highlight creative scholarship, align its practice with university goals and promote collaboration. Showcase 2025 is organized by Chase Bringarder, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance; Robert Finkel, Program Chair and Associate Professor of Graphic Design; and Anna Ruth Gatlin, Assistant Professor of Interior Design in Consumer and Design Sciences, in concert with the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research and Economic Development.

This is a free, family friendly event open to the community!The Global Community Day Festival draws in international and domestic communities from Auburn, Opelika, and the surrounding areas to experience a day dedicated to cultural exchange and celebration. Activities throughout the day will include the Parade of the Flags, Vendor Trade Fair, the Global Attire Fashion Exhibition, musical performances, dance demonstrations, international food trucks, arts and crafts, sports, and games. Practice close observation in nature with faculty from the Landscape Architecture program. Drawing from 18th century forms of landscape observation, participants will have the opportunity to practice and play with early technology that people used to alter their perspective of the landscape such as the Claude glass and cyanometer. Then participants can try their hand at creating their own tools that elicit new mediations of the landscape.

Self-Care Saturdays is a weekly recurring museum programming initiative that helps attendees explore wellness through art and artistic mediums.

Black Alumni Weekend is a three-day celebration focused on cultivating community through engaging social events and networking opportunities.
