- Apr 237:00 PMTake Back The Night WalkTake Back the Night is a nationally recognized event advocating for safety and sexual violence. We plan to meet at Toomers Corner and walk through campus to the campus green with signs showing our support for those affected by sexual violence. When we make it to the campus green we will be reading poems and stories of survivors provided to us by the Take Back the Night organization. This will be a safe and open safe for everyone who shows up and will be a peaceful walk advocating for others.

The course will also focus attention on training and certification resources for emergency management Coordinators/Directors, information sharing, the importance of planning and conducting training courses and exercises, managing requests for outside resources as well as an overview of the role of the emergency manager and emergency management staff during an emergency or disaster.
- Apr 24All dayEM: Researching, Writing, and Managing Public Assistance Grants for County, Tribal, and State EntitiesThis four-week online intensive course is tailored for emergency management professionals and grant managers in county, tribal, and state entities. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the Public Assistance (PA) grant process, from identifying funding opportunities and understanding eligibility requirements to developing competitive grant applications and managing awarded funds in compliance with federal regulations. By the end of the course, participants will have created a complete PA grant application and conducted mock submissions and compliance audits to prepare for real-world scenarios.Offered as part of the Emergency Management certificate program.
